You will travel through three of India’s most culutrally fascinating states, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Diu. Cross the great Indian desert at night, and take day trips to fascinating places by luxury coach.
The saloons of The Royal Orient are the luxury saloons of the former Rajas and Nabobs, fully refurbished and equipped Inidan and with most modern facilities. In each saloon there are a Chef de Service and an assistant to look after your well being. Indian and Western cuisine is served in the dining car. The “Watering Hole” is to well look after your thirsty. Also there is a library if you are looking for a truly quiet laid-back time.

Itinerary:
Delhi - Jaipur - Agra - Jaipur - Chittorgarh - Mehsana - Ahmedabad - Udaipur - Devigarh - Delhi.

Day 1 Wednesday: Deaprture from Delhi Cantonment at 15 : 00 hrs. Afternoon Tea and Dinner on board the train. Arrival in Jaipur at 22:00 hrs. Night on the train.

Day 2 Thursday: Departure to Agra at 07:30 hrs. Arrival in Fatehpur Sikri at 10:30 hrs. Visit Fatehpur Sikri, the best planned city of its time built by Akbar the Great with red sand stone. Within the enclosure is a mausoleum dedicated to Sheik Salim Chishti, a Muslim saint who blessed the Emperor Akbar with a son. Departure to Agra at 12:30 hrs. Arrival in Agra at 13:30 hrs. Lunch on board. Check-in at the hotel. At 15: 30 hrs. visit to the Red Fort and arrive at Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. A prisitine monument of undying love. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved queen Mumtaz Mahal. Agra is known for its splendid mable inlay work. Night in the hotel.

Day 3 Friday: Departure to Jaipur at 07:30 hrs. after breakfast. The pink city of Jaipur founded in 1727 by Maharaj Sawai Jai Singh.. Vistit Amber Fort, 8 kms away, where rides on caparisoned elephants add to the ambience. After lunch visit to Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, which is a five storeyed high structure with carved trellis work, City Palace, home of the erstwhile royal family and Jantar Mantar, the largest observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh II. Departure to Chittogarh at 22:00 hrs.

Day 4 Saturday: Arrival in Chittogarh at 05:45 hrs. City tour starts at 07:00 hrs. Departure to Udaipur at 09:00 hrs. Breakfast on the train. Arrival in Udaipur at 12:15 hrs. City tour. Udaipur was built on the banks of lake Pichhola by Maharana Udai Singh in 1559. The City Palace in Udaipur is a complex of reception halls, residential suites and internal courts, the dominat colour of which is blue and white.The most fascinating of the inner courts is the Peacock Court where Peacocks have been modelled in high relief and faced with coloured mosaic. Departure to Mehsana at 18:30.

Day 5 Sunday: Arrival in Mehsana at 07:00 hrs. Visit to the Sun Temple of Mohera, one of the most splendid piece of Indian temple architecture.Thereafter visit to Ran-ki-Vav and Patola, the world famous weaving centre. Departure to Ahmedabad at 19:15 hrs and arrival there at 21:45 hrs. Dinner and night on the train.

Day 6 Monday: After breakfast visit to Ahmedabad starts at 08:30 hrs. Visit to diverse temples and mosques as well as to Gandhi’s Ashram. Lunch and Dinner at the hotel. Departure to Udaipur at 21:15 hrs.

Day 7 Tuesday: Arrival in Udaipur at 06:15 Hrs. After breakfast on the train proceed to Devigarh. Lunch at the hotel. Departure to Delhi at 15:00 hrs.

Day 8 Wednesday: Arrival in Delhi Cantonment at 07:00 hrs.

Annullierungsgebühren: 60 Tage vor Reiseantritt: 5% des Reisepreises, 59 bis 30 Tage: 20% des Reisepreises, 29 bis 15 Tage: 50% des Reisepreises, 14 bis 0 Tag: 100% des Reisepreises.
